Verizon Moto X update entering soak test phase

Is that a Verizon-branded Moto X in your pocket? If so, I’ve got some good news for you, friend.

It’s been revealed that Motorola is prepping a soak test for an upcoming Verizon Moto X update. As usual, the invitations don’t say what this update is, so it’s unclear whether the Verizon Moto X will be bumped to Android 4.4.3 or Android 4.4.4.

So what might you Verizon Moto X folk be getting? Well, the Sprint and T-Mobile Moto Xs both received updates to Android 4.4.3 last month, so it’s certainly possible that you will get the same. Those updates rolled out before Android 4.4.4 was released, though, so there’s chance that Motorola may push you directly to Android 4.4.4, especially since it’s already prepped the update for Verizon’s latest Droids.

For now we’ll just have to sit, wonder and hope that this soak  test goes smoothly so that the update can be pushed to the public quickly. Stay tuned and I’ll update you with more details as I get ‘em.
