Just days after Apple introduced iTunes Pass in Japan, the feature has made its way stateside.
Apple today added iTunes Pass to the iTunes section of its official website. Just like in Japan, the U.S. version of iTunes Pass allows users to add an iTunes card to their Passbook and refill their iTunes account with cash at any Apple Retail Store. The employee simply scans the Passbook card and accepts the payment, and the iTunes account will be updated immediately.
iTunes Pass may not be quite as easy as some other methods of refilling your iTunes account, but it is one more way to add funds to your iTunes wallet. One scenario in which iTunes Pass could come in handy is for any consumers that don’t have or don’t want a credit card, as it gives them a way to give Apple their paper money and get iTunes credit in return.
