Sony's Xperia Z2 is certainly a flagship by any stretch of the word, but it looks like the manufacturer could be preparing to enlist the aide of a successor before the end of the year. Known right now as the Xperia Z3, and certainly looking the part, the first gilmpse of the device in the wild has reportedly broken the surface, showcasing the device out in the wild.
The handset in question is known as the Xperia Z3, but there's not a lot of information known about the handset just yet. As it stands, the Xperia Z3 is a device that's rumored to launch later this year, and feature a slight increase in some specifications when compared to its recent predecessor, the Xperia Z2. The image that we get to see here, and the small gallery that you can check out from XperiaBlog, brings along with it some key details that many Sony handset fans could get excited about.
First, the image confirms some rumors that the Xperia Z3 would boast a quad-core Qualcomm Snapragon 801 processor under the hood, clocked at 2.5GHz and featuring Adreno 330 graphics. That's a slight uptick from the Z2's 2.3GHz quad-core processor, but it's certainly a feature Sony could list on a bullet point list. Additionally, the images tell us that the handset will indeed look quite a lot like the Xperia Z2, sharing plenty of similarities between the two devices.
We'll also apparently get Android 4.4.4 KitKat right out of the box, which doesn't come as much as a surprise. If the Xperia Z3 can improve some areas and keep others the same from the Xperia Z2, would you consider picking it up later this year?
