We’re now just a couple of days out from T-Mobile’s big Un-carrier 5.0 shindig, and unsurprisingly the rumors are continuing to fly.

Hot on the heels of a rumor that claimed that Un-carrier 5.0 will bring all-inclusive rate plan pricing, our pals at TmoNews have gotten wind of other changes that John Legere and Co. may announce on Wednesday. 

First up is the end of prorated charges, which customers typically incur when they have an extra week or two between activation and their first billing date. With Un-carrier 5.0, a customer’s monthly bill will be their monthly bill, that’s all.

Next is the customer’s first Equipment Installment Plan payment. Some T-Mobile customers don’t see their first EIP payment until their third or fourth monthly bill, but Un-carrier 5.0 is expected to change that so that  your first monthly bill will include your very first EIP payment.

With Un-carrier 5.0, it sounds like T-Mobile is focusing on overhauling its billing system and making bills easier for customers to understand. This plan may not sound as huge as JUMP! or some other Un-carrier moves, but things like taxes, fees and prorated charges can be surprising and upsetting for some customers, so it’s nice to hear that T-Mobile may be planning to address the problem. If it’s true, here’s to hoping that other carriers follow suit.
