@UpLeaks has posted a system dump from the LG G Watch for all to download, including a video that purportedly shows the device’s boot animation. Interestingly, the brief animation ends with what appears to be a new Android logo. You can check that out below
After digging through the system dump,
Droid-Life discovered that it includes several different watch faces, some of which are shown at the top of this post. Also included is a “powered by Google” logo, several Google Now cards for things like Weather, Birthdays and Package Delveries.
Also included in the dump are several .apks. The big one is a remote shutter .apk that could allow you to snap a photo with the phone that’s connected to your watch. There are also apps for a step counter, calorie counter and compass. Finally, the system dump suggests that the G Watch is codenamed “dory” and that its product name could be “platina.”
In addition to today’s G Watch leak, Google has
put up a post on its Android Developers Blog that gives some insight into what it’s like to develop an app for the LG G Watch and
Moto 360. The post includes mockups of what an Android Wear app might look like as well as some photos of prototype models of both the LG G Watch and Moto 360. You can find both photos below.
