After HTC China gave us a brief tease of the HTC One (E8) late last month, HTC’s U.S. arm has come forward with the full announcement of the newest member of the One family.

Launching in early June in "select markets," the HTC One (E8) features a design that’s similar to the flagship One (M8), but rather than being made of aluminum, the One (E8) features a polycarbonate unibody construction. HTC also touts the One (E8) as having a “Dual Curve Design” that helps the phone to fit comfortably into your hand. 

Along with its design, the One (E8) also borrows many of the One (M8)’s specs. The One (E8) features a 5-inch display, BoomSound front-facing speakers, 16GB storage, microSD card slot, 5-megapixel front camera, 2600mAh battery and HTC’s Sense 6 UI. One big spec difference between the One (E8) and the One (M8) is that the plastic-bodied E8 doesn’t have a Duo Camera setup, instead offering a single 13-megapixel rear shooter.

The HTC One (E8) will be available in a dual-SIM variant and will be offered in Polar White, Electric Crimson, Maldives Blue and Misty Gray color options. While the One (E8) may not have quite the premium feel that the One (M8) exudes with its metal body, the One (E8) still looks like a nice handset that’ll likely still feel good in the hand. Plus, thanks to its polycarbonate construction, the One (E8) will be easier on your wallet as well.
