Less than a month after taking the wraps off of its Life Pure XL, BLU Products today introduced two new Android-powered smartphones, the VIVO IV and LIFE 8.
BLU is quick to point out that both the VIVO IV and LIFE 8 feature “true octa-core mobile processing” thanks to the MediaTek MT6592 CPU that’s inside of both units. The two devices also feature 5-inch displays and run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Here’s the full rundown on BLU’s new offerings:
VIVO IV
LIFE 8
The VIVO IV is now shipping from Amazon in White-Silver, Rose Gold and Black color options for $299. Meanwhile, the LIFE 8 is shipping from Amazon in Neon Orange, Neon Pink, Neon Yellow and Ceramic White for $199. Both units come unlocked.
These latest offerings from BLU look like they could be worth a look for anyone that’s on the hunt for a mid-range to high-end Android smartphone on a budget. It’s kind of a bummer that both units ship with Android 4.2 preinstalled, but the good news is that with Android 4.4 coming in June, buyers won’t be stuck with Jelly Bean for long.
