After starring in a couple of hands-on videos, the unannounced AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has now appeared in a handful of still shots. The images, shared by @evleaks, give us perhaps our clearest look at the toughened version of the Galaxy S5 yet.
Just as we’ve seen before, the Galaxy S5 Active features a design that’s reminiscent of the original Galaxy S5, but with ruggedized corners and rear panel. We can see that the rear camera housing has gained some added protection, and the front of the device has three physical Android navigation buttons just like the Galaxy S4 Active.
Other images included in this leak show the device with its rear cover removed. Underneath this back panel lives a microSIM slot, microSD slot and a sticker that identifies the device as the SM-G870A.
This latest Galaxy S5 Active leak lines up with the previous reports about the device that we’ve seen. Most of the spec details of the GS5 Active are still up in the air, but it looks like a nice option for folks that like the regular GS5 but want something that can take a bit more of a beating.
