Heads up, HTC One (M7) owners on Verizon, because your week is about to get a lot better.
HTC Product Manager Leigh Momii just announced on Twitter than the Sense 6 update for the Verizon version of the HTC One (M7) is slated to begin rolling out this week. Neither HTC nor Verizon have posted official documents for the update, so it’s not yet clear exactly what it’ll include, but the unlocked and Developer Edition One (M7) models received goodies like Extreme Power Saving mode and a “Clear All” button in the Recent Apps view.
HTC America president Jason Mackenzie previously said that the One (M7) would receive Sense 6 by the end of May, so it’s good to see the Verizon variant squeaking in under this deadline. Now that HTC has announced the update and its official software update page lists it as being “Complete,” here’s to hoping that we’ll get more details on the Verizon One (M7) Sense 6 update soon. Stay tuned.
UPDATE: HTC executive Mo Versi has revealed that the Verizon HTC One (M7)’s Sense 6 update has received technical approval and should begin rolling out tomorrow, May 28. Stay tuned and I’ll give you a shout once we get more information about the update.
