Hot on the heels of T-Mobile’s announcement of its plans to launch the Copper Gold version of the Samsung Galaxy S5, Sprint has revealed that it, too, will launch the golden version of Samsung’s latest flagship.
Sprint says that it will begin selling the Copper Gold Galaxy S5 on Friday, May 30. Pricing will be set at $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $27.09. The big yellow carrier also notes that anyone that buys the golden GS5 online or through telesales will receive a matching gold Samsung HM1900 Bluetooth headset for free.
This Copper Gold Galaxy S5 is similar to the Shimmery White and Charcoal Black models that Sprint currently offers. That means that it’s packing a 5.1-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, 2.5GHz quad-core processor, 16GB of storage, 2800mAh battery and compatibility with Sprint 4G LTE and the Sprint Spark tri-band LTE network.
Having more color options when you’re considering a handset purchase is always a good thing, and that’s especially the case here because the gold Galaxy S5 is a bit more colorful than the white and black versions that Sprint has been selling for a while now. Plus, with this launch and the recent debut of the HTC One (M8) Harman/Kardon edition, Sprint will be offering golden versions of two of the biggest Android flagships currently available. Hooray gold!
