Well what do you know. As many are probably aware, I'm a die-hard fan of Apple's iPhone. I've been an iPhone user ever since that June morning in 2007 when I waited 9 hours to drop hundreds of dollars for the phone that changed everything. And while I'm still a huge fan of the iPhone, its actually not the phone thats been in my pocket for the past 45 days or so.

When I reviewed the HTC One (M8) in March, I was surprised by how much I really liked the device. It was built like a tank, ran a skinned version of Android that I actually liked and looked beautiful. It was the best Android phone I'd ever used; much better than anything from Samsung, LG, Motorola or anyone else. 

The One (M8)'s super-fast hardware keeps it beating to a high speed drum, the design makes it feel super premium in my hand and the BoomSound speakers? Oh, don't get me started on the speakers. My new question for every phone manufacturer — including Apple — is this: Why do you put speakers on the sides or the back of a phone if we know our faces are in front of the display? BoomSound is no joke. It's the best way to listen to music, watch videos and play games on a mobile device.

So there you have it. What's in my pocket? Not an iPhone. An HTC.
