Apparently that Beats Electronics deal isn’t the only big acquisition that Apple is making this month.
Ari Partinen, who served at Nokia as the Finnish firm’s Lumia Photography Lead, recently revealed that he’s leaving Nokia for Apple. Partinen didn’t reveal any other deals about his new job at Apple or when he’ll officially start work at the Cupertino firm.
This move is a big one for both Nokia and Apple. Partinen has been working at Nokia since 2007 and most recently served as the head of Lumia imaging, which is a feature that Nokia has heavily focused on with its recent handset releases. Meanwhile, Apple is gaining an employee who says he has “comprehensive knowledge about Image Quality testing and tuning,” which means that the camera on upcoming iPhone models is sure to get a lot of attention.
What do you think of Pertinen’s move? Does it get you exciting for Apple’s future iPhone models?
