Earlier this month, AT&T began pushing Android 4.4 to its version of the LG G Flex. Now it’s Sprint’s turn to treat LG’s curvy smartphone to a KitKat treat.
Sprint announced today that it is now updating its LG G Flex to Android 4.4. The update bumps the Sprint G Flex up to software version LS995ZV6. Sprint doesn’t say what’s in the update besides an upgrade to 4.4, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was similar to the update that AT&T pushed out recently, which brought with it goodies like restyled status and navigation bars, improved battery efficiency, faster processing speed and Knock Code.
The Sprint G Flex’s update to Android 4.4 is starting its push today and will continue to roll out until May 7. Updates go out in stages, so if you’ve got a Sprint-flavored G Flex, you should see the update sometime between now and May 7. If you’re feeling impatient, though, you can try to pull your serving of KitKat manually by heading into Settings > System updates > Update LG software > Check now.
If you’re rocking an LG G Flex on Sprint, be sure to give us a shout when your Android 4.4 update arrives!
