Just a week after Google began pushing a KitKat update out to its Glass headwear, the company has announced that some more goodies will be rolling out in the coming days.
Google today named two new features that it will be pushing to Glass hardware “later this week.” The first is SMS support for the iPhone. As you might expect, this feature allows iPhone-toting Google Glass owners to receive SMS notifications with Glass. Unfortunately, Google says that limitations in iOS will prevent those users from replying to messages with Glass.
The second new feature coming to Google Glass this week is Calendar Glassware. After turning this feature on in MyGlass, users will be able to view their agenda on a page to the left of the Glass home screen. This feature will also allow users to edit the details of a calendar event or delete it entirely.
Perhaps the best news from Google’s announcement is that, thanks to the recent KitKat update, the firm plans to begin pushing new goodies to Glass more quickly. Google didn’t say exactly what else it has planned for its headwear, but hey, at least you Glass Explorers know that you’ll begin to see additional new features and fixes more rapidly than you did before.
