The LG G2 is now around 7 months old, and while that may sound young, the fact that the smartphone world has become all about the yearly refresh means that it's about time for details on the G2's successor to begin flowing.

A new image tweeted by @evleaks has revealed what may be one of the first tidbits of information about the LG G3. The shot shows the user agent profile for an LG device with the model number "LG-D850" and a screen resolution of 2560x1440. A previous leak also suggested that the D850 could be released on AT&T in the U.S.

The LG G2 has a few different model numbers depending on which variant you're looking at: the D800 is the AT&T model, the D801 is T-Mobile's variant and the D805 is the global version. Meanwhile, the Nexus 5's model number is D820 and the new G Pro 2's is D830. While there's no guarantee that the D850 is indeed the G3, a screen resolution of 2560x1440 is definitely a feature that you'd expect to find in a flagship handset, which is what the Optimus G, G2 and likely the G3 are for LG.
