Rumors of a Google-made smartwatch have been floating around for nearly a year now, but it was only recently that we learned that The Big G may be collaborating with LG on the Android-powered wearable. Now more details of Google and LG's wristwear have leaked out, giving us a better idea of the kind of specs that might end up inside of the device.

According to @evleaks, the Google smartwatch will feature a 1.65-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 280x280, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built-in storage. To compare, Samsung's new Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo smartwatches feature 1.63-inch 320x320 Super AMOLED screens, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage.

We've previously heard that Google's upcoming smartwatch will place a heavy focus on Google Now and its search functionality. Obviously there are still a few details that we're missing, including information on what the thing looks like, but the fact that Google is attached to this smartwatch means that it'll likely garner quite a bit of attention when it debuts, regardless of its spec sheet. Google recently announced that it'll soon release an SDK for using Android on wearable devices, which is something that'd work nicely with this rumored smartwatch. The device itself will reportedly be introduced in June.
