After teasing the Grand Memo II LTE last week, ZTE today officially introduced us to its newest phablet with a display that takes up 80 percent of the phone's face.
The ZTE Grand Memo II LTE is the follow-up to the Grand Memo that debuted at Mobile World Congress 2013. The new Memo II LTE sports a 6-inch display on its face that's a bit larger than the 5.7-inch screen found on its predecessor as well as a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing shooter and a 3200mAh battery that's powering the whole package. Also inside of the Grand Memo II LTE's 7.2mm-thick frame is a Snapdragon 400 processor and LTE connectivity.
On the software side of things, ZTE's new phablet boasts Android 4.4 KitKat running alongside the company's new MiFavor 2.3 user interface. ZTE says that its custom UI makes the Grand Memo II LTE easier to use by learning a user's habits and offering a customizable interface with "intelligent split screens." The MiFavor 2.3 UI also includes integrated apps such as a notebook, weather forecast and alarm clock.
The ZTE Grand Memo II LTE is slated to launch in China this April followed by debuts in Europe, North America and the Asia Pacific region. There's no word yet on how much ZTE plans to charge for its newest phablet, but with its combination of a 6-inch display, minimal bezel, KitKat and a 7.2mm-thick body, the Grand Memo II LTE could be worth keeping an eye on if you've got deep pockets and a love of huge handsets.
