At this point, we've seen the Nokia X from just about every angle possible thanks to a steady stream of leaked product images and "in the wild" photos. The Android-powered device's spec list has eluded us thus far, though, leaving us to ogle the X without knowing any of the parts that make it what it is. Thankfully that's changing today, because a list of spec details for the phone formerly known as Normandy has finally made its way online.

A tweet sent by @evleaks claims to have the goods on the Nokia X's feature set, and as expected, it's shaping up to be a fairly entry-level piece of kit. The Nokia X reportedly includes a 4-inch 800x480 touchscreen on its face and 5-megapixel camera on its backside.

Packed inside is said to be a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, microSD card slot, dual-SIM support and a 1500mAh battery that's powering all of those components. The X will reportedly be available in six colors, which lines up with a previous leak that showed the phone wearing black, white, blue, red, yellow and green.

On the software side, we're told to expect the X to come with the "Nokia Store" as well as support for third-party apps. The inclusion of the Nokia Store makes sense because the X is rumored to be running a customized version of Android similar to Amazon's Kindle Fire tablets, which come preloaded with the Amazon Appstore for Android.

So there's the Nokia X. As I said before, the X described in today's leak seems to slot into the entry-level section of the smartphone market. We've been hearing all along that Nokia is positioning the phone as an alternative to its Asha lineup of affordable, low-end handsets, though, so it's not totally surprising to hear that the Nokia X could be a similarly entry-level handset.

Now that we've gotten several looks at the hardware as well as a spec list, all we can do is sit back and wait to find out if the Nokia X will ever actually see the fluorescent light of a retail store. There's always a chance that Microsoft could put a stop to the X before it makes its way into the real world, but for now Nokia is still doing its own thing, so it's possible that the X could make it to market before Microsoft's acquisition closes. Nokia is holding an MWC press event on Feb. 24, so we may hear more then. Stay tuned.
