Cricket today followed up its recent announcement of the Kyocera Hydro Plus with details of a new plan offering and a trade-in program. First up is the "5 Smartphone Lines for $100" deal, which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. The plan includes unlimited talk, text and 1GB of high-speed data for up to 5 smartphones at a price of $100 per month. Cricket customers can knock that rate down to $95 per month by enrolling in Automatic Bill Pay.
Also announced today is what Cricket has dubbed "The Nation's Best Trade-In" program. The service guarantees consumers a minimum trade-in value of $30 for their Cricket smartphone and at least $15 for all other handsets.
Both the "5 Smartphone Lines for $100" plan and "The Nation's Best Trade-In" program will kick off this Sunday, Jan. 26, at Cricket stores and dealers. While the 1GB of high-speed data offered with Cricket's new "5 Smartphone Lines" plan may not seem like much, the offering still sounds like a nice deal considering that users are getting unlimited talk, text and that bucket of high-speed data for just $20 per month.
To compare, Cricket's cheapest single-line smartphone plan clocks in at $50 per month for unlimited talk, text and 2.5GB of high-speed data. See, the "5 Smartphone Lines for $100" is a decent deal, isn't it? Now you've got around a day and a half to round up 4 friends to sign up for the plan with you, so get going!
