It's tough to be a Windows Phone fan on Verizon this week. The Nokia Lumia Icon, which has been leaking out fairly frequently since September 2013, has shown its face in both images and video in the past few days. Neither Nokia nor Verizon have uttered a word about the device to date, and that hasn't changed this morning. Verizon's website is a bit more forthcoming today, though, as a product page for the Lumia Icon briefly appeared on the carrier's online store.
Just like the Lumia Icon page that appeared on Verizon's test site earlier this month, the product page that appeared today included several images of the upcoming Windows Phone as well as a full spec list, the latter of which you can find in the gallery below. The Lumia Icon sports a 5-inch 1080p OLED display and 1.2-megapixel camera on its face, a 20-megapixel PureVIew shooter on its backside, 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM at its heart and 32GB of built-in storage. The unit is powered by a 2420mAh battery.
Unfortunately for anyone that actually wants to buy the Nokia Lumia Icon, Verizon's product page didn't offer up any information on when the device will actually be available for purchase. And as you might've guessed by its $777 on-contract price, the Lumia Icon's official pricing is still up in the air as well. Here's to hoping that the handset's brief appearance on Verizon's official online shop means that the carrier is finally getting ready to end its Windows Phone drought and give its subscribers their first Live Tile-equipped phone since May 2013's launch of the Lumia 928.
