Late last month, Samsung began hawking a Wireless Charging S-View Flip Cover for the Galaxy Note 3 in its online store, giving owners of its newest phablet a combo case that adds protection as well as wireless charging functionality. Now Samsung is selling a similar case for the Galaxy S 4.
The Galaxy S 4 S-View Wireless Battery Cover is exactly what its length name suggests that it is. Once snapped onto the backside of a Galaxy S 4, the cover enables the handset to charge wirelessly when used with a Qi-compatible charger like the Samsung Wireless Charging Pad, Nokia DT-900 charging pad and LG WCP-300.
Moving around to the front of the case, the S-View window on the front of the GS4's Wireless Battery Cover displays information related to the time and date, music playlist, alarms, missed calls, new messages and more. The case can also automatically wake the Galaxy S 4 when opened.
The Samsung Galaxy S 4 S-View Wireless Battery Cover is priced at $69.99 and is available in both black and white. It's definitely not the cheapest case around, but with the added protection, S-View window and wireless charging functionality, the Galaxy S 4 S-View Wireless Battery Cover could be a good investment for anyone that intends to hold on to their GS4 for the foreseeable future.
