Heads up, Motorola DROID 4 owners, because it looks like you'll soon have a software update headed your way. Motorola recently began sending emails to DROID 4 users that are a part of its Motorola Feedback Network to invite them to take part in an "early preview of a new software release." There's no mention of what tweaks the update might contain or when the update might begin to roll out.
It's definitely been a while since we've heard about the DROID 4 or any new updates for the QWERTY-slider, so it's good to see that Motorola has prepared a fresh software treat for anyone that's still rocking the device. We'll have to wait until it begins pushing before we know precisely what's inside the update, but it's worth noting that Motorola's Android upgrade page says that the DROID 4 "will remain on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean)," so this is likely a maintenance release. That means that we could see some bug fixes and other tweaks, which is certainly better than nothing! Stay tuned and I'll update you with more details on the D4's impending update as I get 'em.
