MT PLEASANT, SC – December 23, 2013 – We’ve arrived at week 94 in PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR), the gold standard for ranking the best smartphones on the market by placing votes from readers and experts in their respective charts. The HTC One led the People’s Choice chart for the 40th straight week, earning a total of 221 votes. For a record 10th week, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 finished in first place on the Experts’ Choice chart with 43 points.
After some shifting on the People’s Choice side of the charts last week, the top five remained the same this week. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 took second with 167 votes, followed by the Google Nexus 5 with 113 votes. In the fourth and fifth place positions were the LG G2 with 65 votes and the Apple iPhone 5s with 51 votes.
The HTC One found its way back into the top five of the Experts' Choice chart this week, earning 17 points and a fifth place finish. Second place stayed with the Apple iPhone 5s and its 34 points, followed by the Google Nexus 5 with 21 points and the Samsung Galaxy S 4 with 17 points.
“Because of the dominance that the HTC One has displayed on the People’s Choice charts, I wasn’t surprised to see it back in the top five of our Experts' Choice charts this week.” said Rebecca Atwood, Senior Business Manager at PhoneDog Media.
