Miss out on Motorola's $150 no contract Moto X discount? You're in luck, friend-o, because the deal is back. Motorola is now handing out promo codes that are good for $150 off the price of a no contract Moto X for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile or Verizon. Just as before, you can customize the device to your liking using the Moto Maker tool, though it is worth noting that the recently-released bamboo Moto X isn't eligible for this discount. After using the promo code will knock, the price of a no contract 16GB Moto X will be $349.
If a $350 is still a little too expensive, Motorola is also offering the option to buy a Moto X with an AT&T or Sprint two-year contract for $49.99 or a Verizon two-year commitment for $29.99. The promo codes also entitle consumers to 50 percent off select accessories.
In order to snag a code, you simply have to navigate to The Today Show's site and follow its link to a special Motorola sign-up page. There you'll be able to enter the code "todayshow50," fill out all of the necessary contact info and then select whether you'd like a code for $150 off of a no contract Moto X or one for a discounted, on-contract unit. Motorola will then email you confirmation of your registration, followed by your shiny code.
As I said the last couple of times that Motorola offered this $150 discount, getting a Moto X for $349 without any kind of contract is a pretty sweet deal, especially since you can customize the device for no extra charge using Moto Maker. Sure, it's kind of a bummer that that awesome bamboo backside isn't eligible for the promotion, but at least there are quite a few different color options for you to choose from instead. If you manage to snag a promo code, be sure to stop by the comments below to tell us how you're going to personalize your Moto X!
