Well, that didn't take long. Just days after images of both the Motorola Droid Mini and Droid Ultra wearing new white duds leaked out, Verizon has started selling them online. Both the white Droid Mini and white Droid Ultra are now available for purchase from Verizon's website, with pricing set at $49.99 and $99.99, respectively.
Outside of their new pearly paint jobs, these Droids are the same as the black versions that launched earlier this year. The Droid Mini features a 4.3-inch 720p LCD display while the Droid Ultra steps things up to a 5-inch 720p AMOLED panel. Both are powered by Motorola's X8 Mobile Computing System, which includes a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, and the two handsets also sport 10-megapixel rear cameras and 2-megapixel front-facing shooters. They're also both powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
As I said when these two pale Droids leaked out last week, it's good to see Motorola and Verizon adding more color options their Droid Mini and Droid Ultra lineups. Doing so gives customers interested in the devices more hues to choose from, and the all-white outfits could also draw the attention of some folks that normally wouldn't have paid any attention to the two phones. Plus, I'm sure that there are some people that'll be happy to see that Moto and Verizon covered the entirety of the two phones in white rather than going with a two-tone, black-front-and-white back look.
In addition to launching these white Droids, Verizon is holding a Black Friday sale that offers some nice discounts on select handsets. Included in the cornucopia of discounts is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for $199.99 with a two-year contract, Samsung Galaxy S 4 for $99.99, and both the Motorola DROID RAZR HD and Nokia Lumia 928 for free on contract.
