Apparently Nokia felt that we all really needed our beauty rest last night, because the Finnish firm added the new Lumia 525 to its website overnight with next to no fanfare. The Lumia 525 is the follow-up to the Lumia 520, one of most widely-adopted Windows Phones to date, sporting a similar design and mostly-unchanged internals. As far as pricing and availability goes, Nokia Singapore has revealed on its Facebook page that the Lumia 525 will be available in that country on Dec. 14 at a price of SGD249 ($198 USD). Nokia's global site also indicates that the device will hit several other countries in Africa, the Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
Overall the Lumia 525 looks like a respectable addition to Nokia's roster of Windows Phones. Not much has changed from the Lumia 520, but Nokia didn't really need to mess with its successful formula too much, opting to simply upgrade the RAM to enable the 525 to enable better multitasking and gaming experiences.
