Time to cross another name off of that list of missing apps, Windows Phone fans. The official Vine app for Windows Phone is officially being released into the Windows Phone Store today, making Microsoft's mobile platform the third on which Vine is officially available.
Vine for Windows Phone allows users to capture and share six-second looping videos, and the app includes support for features like recording with the front-facing camera, camera tools like grid and ghost and the ability to view popular clips, channels and trending videos. One feature that's unique to the Windows Phone version of Vine is the ability to pin favorite accounts directly to the Start screen. Windows Phone users can also use Pivot to quickly switch between apps.
Nokia originally announced that Vine would be coming to Windows Phone back in July, and so it's good to see the official Vine client finally making its way into the Windows Phone Store. Today's release is big for Microsoft's mobile platform and its users, even the ones that don't plan on actually using Vine, as it means that another major mobile app is now available on Windows Phone. The app doesn't appear to be live in the Windows Phone Store quite yet, but once it is, you'll be able to snag it from the Windows Phone Store right here.
