Following its announcement last month that the BlackBerry Z30 would be launching in November, Verizon Wireless today revealed the exact date on which its customers will be able to purchase the largest BlackBerry to date. The BlackBerry Z30 will hit Verizon's online store this Thursday, Nov. 14, with pricing set at $199.99 on a two-year contract or $22.91 through the Verizon Edge upgrade program.
With its 5-inch 1280x720 Super AMOLED display, the BlackBerry Z30 is quite a bit larger than the BlackBerry Z10, another full-touch BlackBerry 10 device that sports a 4.2-inch display. The Z30 also packs a 2880mAh battery that's quite a bit larger than the 1800mAh juice pack found in the Z10. Rounding out the Z30's spec sheet are 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 16GB storage, microSD card slot and 2GB RAM.
The BlackBerry Z30 has been available for around a month now in an unlocked GSM form, but so far the device has been unavailable in a subsidized manner. It's nice to see that that'll finally be changing this week, as not everyone can afford to buy unsubsidized smartphones.
