After getting a formal introduction nearly two months ago, NVIDIA's 7-inch Tegra Note tablet is now available for pre-order. Powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and manufacturer by EVGA, the Tegra Note 7 is a 7-inch slate that comes with a DirectStylus pen that NVIDIA says enables users to create both fine lines and broad strokes. Also included is NVIDIA's own 1.8GHz quad-core Tegra 4 processor, stereo front-facing speakers, 16GB storage that can be supplemented with a microSD card, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA shooter on the front.

The Tegra Note 7 is available through Newegg in the U.S. with a price tag of $199.99 and a launch date of Nov. 19. Newegg is also offering a $29.99 slide-in cover and a $19.99 DirectStylus Pro with a 2mm tip. Meanwhile, consumers in the U.K. can pre-order a Tegra Note 7 for £179.99 ahead of its expected availability on Nov. 16.

With its combination of a quad-core processor, stylus and $200 price tag, NVIDIA's Tegra Note 7 looks like it could be a respectable little tablet. The fact that it runs what appears to be a fairly vanilla build of Android is likely to earn it some attention as well. Of course, we'll just have to wait and see exactly how the Tegra Note 7 performs and how swiftly NVIDIA can update it to newer versions of Android. The good news is that at $200, those folks that would rather dive right in with the Tegra Note 7 won't have to worry about a high cost of entry getting in their way.
