T-Mobile announced earlier this week that it'll soon begin offering 200MB of free data every month to every tablet on its network as part of its Tablets Un-leashed program. It turns out that that's not the only big plan-related news that Magenta has to share this week, though, as T-Mo has revealed to FierceWireless that it's made some tweaks to its prepaid Simple Choice plans as well.
The big magenta operator explains that it recently improved its prepaid Simple Choice plans for customers that don't submit to a credit check to make them similar to the plans available to subscribers that do have their credit run. Prepaid customers now have access to data roaming across the country, and those folks that are signed up for T-Mobile's prepaid $70 Unlimited Nationwide 4G Data plan are also gaining 2.5GB of mobile hotspot usage. Here's how some of T-Mobile's updated prepaid plans break down:
While the data roaming allotments that've been added to these plans may not seem like much, it's still good to see T-Mobile improving its prepaid offerings without any sort of price increase. That's especially true for the $70 plan, which is gaining a nice bucket of mobile hotspot data in addition to the bottomless well of high-speed data that's already available to smartphones. All of these changes officially went into effect back on Oct. 20, so if you're a T-Mobile prepaid customer, you may want to check your account details and see exactly what new features your plan has gained.
