Motorola's got a new software update for its flagship Moto X that includes several significant improvements to the device's camera and Touchless Control, along with a few other goodies. The update has already started making its way to T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T models of the Moto X, and now it looks like it won't be long before U.S. Cellular customers get to sink their teeth into the new software as well.
According to an image shared by Droid-Life, U.S. Cellular is planning to push a maintenance update to its flavor of the Moto X that brings with it improvements to the camera, Active Notifications, Touchless Control and Motorola Assist app, as well as improved voice calling quality. The update is listed with the build number 13.9.0Q2.X-116-MX-17-57.
As for when this update will start rolling out to users, the document includes a mention of "October 2013," but there's no word on exactly when in October the push will actually begin. Still, it's good to hear that the Moto X owners on U.S. Cellular will soon be treated to the same camera-improving update as their X-toting brethren on AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. Stay tuned and I'll give you a shout once more details on this update's rollout are available.
