Jolla officially introduced us to its first Sailfish OS-powered smartphone back in May, revealing a device with a 4.5-inch and replaceable "Other Half" rear covers that could alter the appearance of the OS itself. The company didn't really dive into the handset's spec sheet at the time, but Jolla has now updated its website to include a more complete rundown of all its smartphone's features.

According to Jolla, the phone features a 4.5-inch qHD (960x540) display and 2-megapixel camera on its face, along with a second 8-megapixel shooter and LED flash around back. A combination of a 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and user-replaceable 2100mAh battery power the Jolla phone, and included with each unit is 1GB RAM, 16GB storage and a microSD card slot.

While not exactly a barnburner, the Jolla phone has a respectable feature set, and the inclusion of both a removable battery and a microSD slot is sure to make some folks pretty happy. Jolla also recently confirmed that its Sailfish OS is compatible with Android apps, meaning that users will be able to run apps from Google's ecosystem. Overall the Jolla phone looks like an interesting addition to the mobile world, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs when it hits the market later in 2013.
