The HTC One Max is certainly no stranger to the camera, having appeared in a number of different leaked image sets. Sometimes adding a buddy or two can make a photo shoot more fun, though, and that's precisely what the One Max has done in its latest batch of shots.
New images of the HTC One Max have been posted to Chinese social network Sina Weibo, and included in some of the photos is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note II. The inclusion of these already-official handsets helps to give us a better idea of the size of HTC's One Max, which is clearly larger than both of Samsung's offerings. That's no surprise considering that the One Max has a 5.9-inch display while the Note 3 and Note II's screens come in at 5.7 and 5.5 inches, respectively, but it's still nice to be able to actually see the size difference.
Another photo offers a close-up look at the cover-less backside of the One Max and the mysterious black square beneath its camera. So far there's been no concrete evidence that shows exactly what this part does, but several reports have suggested that it's a fingerprint scanner, a feature that's not present on either the original One or the One mini.
The One Max is expected to be the largest of the three-bear HTC One family thanks to a 5.9-inch 1080p display. To compare, the OG One has a 4.7-inch display and the One mini's screen measures in a 4.3 inches. Also rumored to be packed inside the One Max's aluminum chassis is a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, UltraPixel rear camera, 2GB RAM and a 3300mAh battery.
Overall it sounds like the One Max has got the makings of a pretty respectable Android phone, and I'm betting that fans of the phone/tablet hybrid form factor are pleased to see HTC entering their arena.
