Thanks to various teasers and loose-lipped executives, we already know that the Samsung Galaxy Note III and Sony Xperia Z1 "Honami" will be debuting next week at IFA. However, what we don't know is exactly when we'll actually be able to buy the things. A newly-leaked image from U.K. carrier Three may have just shed a little light on that matter, though, and the good news is that our wait could be fairly short.
Engadget has posted a purported Three U.K. internal document that contains the release dates for a boatload of smartphones, including upcoming models like the Samsung Galaxy Note III and Sony Xperia Z1. According to this Three doc, the Note III will be sprinting into the carrier's stores on Sept. 16, while the Xperia Z1 will follow on Sept. 24.
While these precise release dates (if accurate) only really mean anything to Three U.K. customers, they do suggest that Samsung and Sony will work to get their new flagship smartphones out the door and into consumers' hands in a timely manner. That'd be great to see, especially considering that Sony hasn't exactly been the fastest at launching new hardware in the past. For now we'll just have to wait until Sept. 4's announcements and hope that Samsung and Sony have similarly speedy rollouts planned for the rest of the globe.
