Just a couple of weeks after AT&T's HTC Windows Phone 8X began receiving its GDR2 update, 8X owners on Verizon are getting their own helping of the new software. Verizon has posted the official support documents for the 8X's GDR2 update, revealing it as build number 3030.0.34201.605. What changes does this update include, you ask? Here's the list:

Even though the changelog for this update may not be huge, there are some pretty worthwhile goodies baked into GDR2. That includes group texting as well as CardDAV and CalDAV support, the latter of which will allow Google users to keep the connection to their calendars and contacts up and running.
Verizon hasn't made any official announcements regarding the 8X's GDR2 rollout, but several owners are reporting that the update is already making its way into the wild. If you're rocking a Verizon 8X that's still GDR2-less, you can try to snag the update manually by hopping onto the nearest Wi-Fi connection and heading into Settings > Phone Update > Check for Update.
