Apparently launching the HTC One mini, Moto X and Samsung Galaxy Mega all on the same day just wasn't enough for AT&T. The big blue carrier went ahead this morning and introduced a new piece of hardware from a fourth major manufacturer to its lineup by putting a white version of the LG Optimus G Pro up for sale. This pale Optimus G Pro variant is available for $99.99 with a two-year commitment or $439.99 contract-free. Customers that'd prefer the AT&T Next route can expect to pony up 20 monthly payments of $20 each.
Save for its new snow white paint job, this new variant of the LG Optimus G Pro looks to be similar to the black version that launched at AT&T back in May. Buyers will be getting a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display, 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 13-megapixel rear and 2.1-megapixel front cameras, 32GB storage (expandable with microSD card) and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. As with most AT&T smartphones released lately, the Optimus G Pro is compatible with Ol' Blue's 4G LTE network.
The Optimus G Pro may not seem like the freshest handset on the block, especially with three other new Android phones joining AT&T's lineup today. The OGP still has a pretty high-end feature set, though, and at just $99.99 on contract or $439.99 sans commitment, it's definitely worth a look for any AT&T customers that are in the hunt for a new smartphone.
