Earlier this week, some leaked product images gave us an early peek at Sony's new "lens camera" accessories, which look to be a lens with its own sensor, processor and more that can snap onto a smartphone or tablet. Now a little more light has been shed on Sony's unique attachments thanks to a product manual page that's been posted by SonyAlphaRumors.

The page confirms that there will be at least two lens camera models initially, dubbed the QX10 and QX100. Each model has its own display panel to indicate the presence of a memory card and the unit's battery level, as well as a belt hook, tripod mount, zoom lever, shutter button and more. The QX10 is expected to sport the same 1/2.3 inch 18-megapixel CMOS sensor as Sony's WX150 camera, while the higher-end QX100 model is said to feature the 1-inch sensor found on Sony's RXM100II.

Thanks to the size of the mobile industry and the growing smartphone adoption rate, we've seen some pretty unique accessories in the past. These lens cameras from Sony are some of the craziest that I can remember, though. They likely won't appeal to everyone, but these accessories could be big for photography fans not only because they could help to lighten their gadget load, but also because the lenses can be used with different devices, allowing the owner to upgrade to new phones or tablets and still take nice photos on the go.

Sony is expected to unveil its lens cameras at its IFA 2013 press conference on Sept. 4, so it won't be long before we get the official rundown on these accessories. Here's to hoping that we can try them out for ourselves in the near future, too.
