BlackBerry's got some great news that ought to help cure you BlackBerry 10 device owners of your case of the Mondays. The company announced today that it's prepared a new BlackBerry 10.1 software update that includes "hundreds of enhancements," such as a quick way to jump between messages in the BlackBerry Hub. Other features of the version 10.1.0.4537 update include:
BlackBerry Hub
New enhancements designed help you stay organized and in control of all your conversations:
BlackBerry World
BlackBerry Balance
BlackBerry says that there are even more goodies inside the 10.1.0.4537 update that users will find once they install it. As for when exactly that'll happen, the company expects the update to reach users in Africa, the Asia Pacific region, Canada, Europe and the Middle East starting on July 29. The Latin American rollout is slated to begin in mid-August, and U.S.-based BlackBerry 10 users should start receiving the new software at the end of summer.
So far this looks like a nice little maintenance update for the BlackBerry 10 crowd, and it'll be interesting to see what else is packed into it. I'm sure that some U.S. BB10 folk won't be pleased to see that they're in the back of the line for the update, especially those that are just now receiving the first 10.1 update that began rolling out in mid-May. That delay is likely due to the carrier testing that the update needs to jump through before being rolled out to consumers. The good news is that at least those U.S. BB10 users have an "end of summer" window to keep an eye on. Stay tuned and I'll give you a shout when that window narrows a bit.
