Hot on the heels of a leak that exposed Google's new Nexus 7 tablet to the world, a few more tidbits about the upcoming slate have made their way online. A product tag from an unnamed retailer that's been sent to Engadget suggests that the new Nexus 7 will be powered by Android 4.3, which leaked out for the Nexus 4 earlier this week, and will also include SlimPort 1080p output and wireless charging. Other specs include a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 5-megapixel rear and 1.2-megapixel front cameras, and a 7-inch screen, all of which line up with previous leaks.
Recent leaks have suggested that the new Nexus 7 could go on sale in the coming weeks, with pricing set at $229 for the 16GB version and $269 for the 32GB model. It certainly seems like we're starting to get a pretty good idea of what will make the Nexus 7 2 tick, though there are still a couple of big details missing, like the new tablet's screen resolution. The good news is that it likely won't be long before we get some official answers to our questions, as Google has scheduled a "breakfast" with Android and Chrome head Sundar Pichai for next week, and the recent influx of leaks suggest that a new Nexus 7 could very well be on the menu.
UPDATE: Engadget has received word from a source at Staples that the retailer expects stock of the new Nexus 7 to arrive in stores as soon as July 24, but that the device won't actually on sale at Staples until July 31.
