The web version of the Google Play Store got a big makeover last night, and in addition to gaining some new features (and losing one or two, as well), it looks like the redesign may have revealed an upcoming Google Glass feature. Our pals at Android and Me noticed that "Google Glass 1" is listed as an option when selecting a device to install a new app to, suggesting that Google's eyewear may soon gain access to the Play Store. The Google Glass option is currently grayed out and includes the message "You have not opened the Google Play Store app recently on this device. Please open it and try again."
Google Glass already has a handful of "Glassware" apps available to it, but users must go through the My Glass portal to install them. Google's other Android-powered hardware gets its content through the Play Store, though, and so it'd make sense for Google Glass to do the same at some point. Exactly when that might happen is still a mystery, but we could see Google add Play Store support to Glass as more Glassware is released and we get closer to the device's consumer launch.
