Not long after word of a Motorola "DROID MAXX" with the model number XT1080M began circulating, an image of the device itself appears to have leaked out. The render, shared by @evleaks, shows a device with the same angled corners as previous DROID RAZR devices and a kevlar coating that wraps around to the front of the phone. Interestingly, this DROID MAXX also appears to have ditched the on-screen keys found on its DROID RAZR MAXX HD predecessor in favor of a set of capacitive buttons. We can also see a front-facing camera near the top of the phone as well as a power/lock button and volume rocker on its side.
When it comes to straight-up specs, there's not much known about this DROID MAXX right now. However, its "MAXX" name suggests that it'll pack in a beefy battery, and the fact that it's a DROID-branded device means that it's likely headed to Verizon with 4G LTE connectivity in tow. We'll just have to wait for another leak or an official announcement from Motorola before we can fill in the rest of this DROID MAXX's spec sheet. The good news is that, considering how fast and furious the DROID leaks have been coming this week, it may not be long before more details come out.
