Considering how many times we've seen Sprint's "Amethyst" purple Samsung Galaxy S III lately, one might think that the phone has been officially introduced and is already available in stores. That's not the case, though, as neither Sprint nor Samsung have made sort of announcement regarding the phone. The good news is that it looks like the phone might actually be released soon. Engadget managed to spend on hands-on time with the still-unofficial phone and snap some photos of it in the process, giving us our first look at the shiny purple phone in the wild.
This purple version of the Galaxy S III is expected to feature the same specs as all of its other colorful brethren, meaning that it'll offer a 4.8-inch 1280x720 display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear and 1.9-megapixel front cameras, 4G LTE connectivity and a 2,100mAh battery powering the whole package. Sprint is currently the only major U.S. carrier without an exclusive Galaxy S III color, but that'll change once this purple handset finally arrives on shelves. The good news is that, according to a recently-leaked Sprint document, that could happen as soon as tomorrow. Now that we've seen Sprint's purple Galaxy S III IRL, what do you all think of the newest version of Samsung's former flagship?
