LG teased earlier this year that its 5.5-inch Optimus G Pro would be making its way to North America, and today some more details of the handset's travel plans have surfaced. According to a source speaking to Android Central, AT&T is planning to launch the LG Optimus G Pro in May. AT&T's targeted release date for the Optimus G Pro is said to be May 10, but with a full month between now and then, it's possible that that date could shift slightly.
The LG Optimus G Pro features a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 IPS display, 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 13-megapixel rear and 2.1-megapixel front cameras, NFC, 32GB storage, microSD card slot and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean beneath a custom LG skin. There's no word yet on whether or not AT&T's model will differ at all from the international model, but today's report does say that Big Blue will be launching the Korean version of the Optimus G Pro with a 5.5-inch display and not the Japanese variant with a 5-inch screen, which is good news for lovers of large displays on AT&T.
