Three months after Sony originally introduced us to its new Xperia ZL smartphone, the first U.S. carrier that'll be offering the device has stepped up to reveal its launch plans. Today regional carrier Cincinnati Bell announced that it'll begin selling the Sony Xperia ZL online and in stores by May 1, with pricing set at $249.99 after mail-in rebate and two-year commitment. Sony makes the Xperia ZL in black, white and red versions, but it's not yet clear which models Cincinnati Bell will be stocking.
It's good to see that the Sony Xperia ZL will finally be hitting the shelves of a U.S. operator soon, and with a spec list that includes a 5-inch 1080p display, 13-megapixel rear camera and 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, the Android 4.1-powered Xperia ZL ought to be a pretty tempting option for Cincinnati Bell customers once it launches. Until it does, you Cincinnati Bell folk can find your carrier's official announcement at the corresponding link below.
