MT PLEASANT, SC – PhoneDog Media is proud to announce the monthly winners for March 2013 in the Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR). Just over one year old, the iconic program gathers votes from both readers and experts each week for ranking the top smartphones in respective charts.
For the month of March, the Samsung Galaxy Note II retained the first place spot on both the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice chart, gathering an impressive 2,873 total votes and 205 expert points. Proving that BlackBerry 10 can compete with Android and iOS, the people awarded second place to the BlackBerry Z10 with 1,181 votes. In second place on the Expert’s Choice chart, the Apple iPhone 5 retained its position with a total of 182 points.
Debuting on the OSR on March 17, the HTC One (global) obtained 1,084 total votes, receiving the third place designation on the People’s Choice chart. For the Expert’s Choice chart, the Samsung Galaxy S III landed in third place with 149 points. Though the Galaxy Note II retained the first place spot for another month on the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts, the final two weeks were wins for the HTC One, underscoring the level of buzz behind the new Android smartphone.
