With an official debut that took place less than two months ago and a U.S. launch that's going down today, the BlackBerry Z10 is still a relatively new smartphone for the company formerly known as RIM. However, that hasn't stopped CEO Thorsten Heins from teasing the other products that his company's got in the pipeline for the rest of the year. Speaking to CNET, Heins recently teased that there's one upcoming BlackBerry product that he's "really excited about," explaining that the mystery device "takes BlackBerry 10 to another level in terms of the user experience." The exec didn't offer up any other details on what the product, but he did say that it could hit during the holiday season.

Besides that mysterious "exciting" product, Heins also said that BlackBerry plans to release a mid-range device sometime later in 2013. All in all, BlackBerry expects to roll out three or four BlackBerry 10-powered pieces of hardware during this fiscal year. The full-touch BlackBerry Z10 is already available to the public, and the QWERTY keyboard-equipped Q10 is slated to roll out one to two months after its Z10 sibling.

There hasn't really been much in the way of leaked information about upcoming BlackBerry 10 products, but some recent reports claimed that Sprint is planning to release a new full-touch model in the second half of this year. This Sprint-bound handset has been described as a "version 2.0" of the existing Z10, which doesn't exactly sound like a phone that would "[take] BlackBerry 10 to another level in terms of the user experience" like Heins says his mystery product will. For now we'll just have to wait and see what other information about BlackBerry's upcoming product plans comes out.
