Hey Nokia Lumia owners, can I interest you in a new update that will bring increased stability to your beloved Windows Phone? Good, because that's exactly what Lumia 920, Lumia 820 and Lumia 620 owners will soon be getting with some fresh updates. Nokia recently announced on its official Developer Community Blog that it's prepared some new updates for the three aforementioned models. The Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 will receive an update that is software version 1232.5957.1308.00xx and includes improvements to stability and performance, an enhancement to display stability stability during a phone call and an improved automatic display brightness adjustment.
Meanwhile, Lumia 620 owners will be receiving an update to software version 1030.6407.1308.00xx. This update packs in enhanced system stability, improvements to touch behavior and better camera picture quality, including a corrected camera exposure when the flash is used in a setting with bright light.
So when can Lumia 920, 820 and 620 owners expect to sink their teeth into this new software? Nokia says that it's delivering the updates on new models right now, with current users expected to receive the software "later." There is no specific timeframe mentioned for the update's rollout to U.S. variants of the Lumia 920 and 820. Here's to hoping that Nokia and the carriers get around to pushing this update out soon, because improved device stability is always a good thing. Stay tuned and we'll give you a shout when you and your Live Tiles can do a flip for these latest updates.
