There's nothing like waking up to the smell of a fresh cup of 4G LTE service, and that's exactly what Sprint customers are getting this morning. Sprint has announced that its LTE network is now live in nine new markets, with the newly-activated coverage sprinkled throughout the Midwestern and the Eastern parts of the country. Here's the full list of cities that are gaining Sprint LTE today:
Today's expansion means that Sprint's 4G LTE network is now live in a total of 67 markets. Hesse and Co. have already announced over 100 other cities in which work on its LTE network is underway, with full-on launches expected to occur in the coming months. For now, though, the nine areas you see above are the newest members of the Sprint LTE Club, which is pretty exciting news for anyone in those cities that already have an LTE-capable device. And for those that don't, now seems as good a time as any to move up to an LTE-enabled piece of hardware. What better way to celebrate Monday, the start of March and new 4G LTE coverage than with a shiny new piece of mobile hardware?
