It's time for Sprint customers in nine different markets to wake up and smell the 4G LTE, because the Now Network announced this morning that it has activated its LTE coverage in a handful of new locales. Today's batch of new Sprint LTE areas is spread throughout the Midwestern and Western parts of the U.S., and there's also some new Puerto Rican coverage thrown in. Here's the full list of new Sprint LTE locations announced today:
This latest expansion brings Sprint's LTE coverage up to a total of 58 markets. The good news for those Sprint customers that are still without LTE access is that Hesse and Co. have also been announcing several markets in which work on its LTE network is underway, with full coverage expected to go live in those areas "in the coming months." Meanwhile, Sprint users in areas like Austin and Emporia can start surfing their carrier's LTE airwaves starting today, provided that they've got some LTE-capable equipment lying around. Sounds to me like a pretty good way to start the week off.
