In recent months, Sprint has named well over 100 different markets across the country that it plans to roll its 4G LTE coverage to in the near future. That list grew once again today, as Sprint has announced another 28 cities in which work on the 4G LTE network has gotten underway. An actual LTE network launch is expected to take place in the "coming months." The list looks to be mostly made of up locales in the Midwest and East, but there are a couple of cities in the western part of the country. The entire batch of newly-announced cities can be found at the bottom of this post.
Sprint's most recent 4G LTE network expansion came in mid-December, and the Now Network currently has LTE service live in a total of 49 markets. As I mentioned before, there are well over 100 areas that Sprint has on its "LTE Coming Soon" list, with those areas expected to gain LTE coverage in the coming months. That's certainly a bit of a vague window of time, but at least the Sprint customers in those areas know that LTE is headed their way soon and can now plan any impending upgrades accordingly. Do any of you see your hometown on this new list of cities?
